Global clothing and equipment manufacturer ITURRI signs the UK Armed Forces Covenant

ITURRI is delighted to have signed the UK Armed Forces Covenant in the presence of Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) and Team Leidos, bringing together senior members from the requirements and supply chain to demonstrate united support for the Armed Forces community.

ITURRI chief executive, Juan Francisco Iturri said ‘We owe so much to all those who serve or have served in the UK Armed Forces and we recognise the value they and their families contribute to our community. Signing the Armed Forces Covenant demonstrates our gratitude and willingness to do what we can to further support them. As a global employer, where opportunities arise, we want to encourage people leaving the services to apply so they can utilise their skills with us.’

ITURRI is proud to have been a major supplier to the UK Armed Forces for the past 30 years providing a wide range of combat and parade footwear, clothing and Personal Protective Equipment.

The Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly. Companies that have signed up to the Covenant support reservists with time off for military duties - and recruit former soldiers, sailors and Air Force personnel where possible.

The document was co-signed by Juan Francisco Iturri and Brigadier Simon Hutchings, Head of the Commissioning & Managing Organisation CMO) at DE&S. Also present was Damian Alexander, Programme Director for the Logistics, Commodities and Services Transformation Programme.
